David and Susan Champion welcome you to their home for bed & breakfast in the tranquility of the New Forest, in Hampshire, England.The New Forest is an area in the south of England. A large area of woodland and open heathland, with a handful of small rural towns and villages. The region is famous for it's beauty, and is popular with visitors looking for somewhere quiet. Other attractions in the area include Salisbury (with it's famous cathedral, and of course, Stonehenge), and the Rockbourne Roman Villa. |

The Local Area
Sandleheath is a small village, a short distance outside the town of Fordingbridge - itself a small, rural town. Fordingbridge and Sandleheath are located on the edge of the New Forest, in the county of Hampshire.
The New Forest was set aside by William the Conqueror as his new hunting ground. The name 'New' stuck, and still is with us, a thousand years later. Today the core of the forest is a protected area, and although there are villages inside it, they are just as picturesque as the forest that surrounds them.
The forest and surrounding area are a walker's paradise, with footpaths and nature trails abundant. For other visitors, the area has a remarkable range of places to go, ranging from the New Forest Museum to the popular National Motor Museum at Beaulieu. We can help you decide where to go, and we have a range of brochures for a variety of places to visit in the area. Our Bed & Breakfast facilities

We run a 'B&B' service from our home, in the same building as the Sandleheath village Post Office and shop, which we also run.In addition to just bed and breakfast, we can also offer dinner if you require it.
We have four rooms available (family, double, twin and single rooms), each with a television, hand basin, and tea/coffee making facilties. In addition, our largest room, which has room for a family, has a full en-suite bathroom.
The breakfast room, with it's round table is large enough for the family, but cosy and charming no matter how many people are there. Breakfast is between seven and nine in the morning, and is often an opportunity to meet your fellow guests, and talk about your day.

- February 2002
- Feb 25: Lots of improvements have been to the building over time. We're now planning to convert a second room to be en-suite. More news when it's finished.
- March 2001
- Mar 10: We've rebuilt the front of the shop, replacing the plate-glass with bay windows. Very nice. Also, new photos of the building with it's new look.
- October 2000
- Oct 17: We're now a member of UK Villages and the Village Retail Services Association
- January 2000
- Jan 10: A couple of months ago (sorry for belated news!), we were awarded 3 Diamonds by the British Tourist Authority.
These Diamond awards are a recent replacement for the star-rating system, for Bed and Breakfasts. (Star ratings are still used for hotels)
